Joe De Sena
After building a multimillion-dollar pool and construction business in college, and creating a Wall Street trading firm, De Sena set his sights on ripping 100 million people off their couches by creating the Spartan lifestyle. Following a successful career on Wall Street, De Sena moved his family to Pittsfield, Vermont to operate an organic farm, a bed and breakfast, and a general store for hikers. It was here his passion grew for ultramarathons, adventure races, and endurance events, and thus the idea for Spartan was born. Today, Spartan spans more than 270 events across more than 40 countries, and changed more than 7 million lives since it's founding in 2010. De Sena is also the New York Times Best Selling Author of “Spartan Up” and “Spartan Fit,” and recently released his third book, “The Spartan Way.”

100% of proceeds go to The Give Team
The Give Team is the only inner city obstacle course and endurance event team in the country. Based in the Parramore community of Orlando, once named one of America's most dangerous neighborhoods, they focus on giving young adults a strong sense of community, confidence, goal achievement and leadership skills through weekly workouts and endurance events.
The Give Team is currently raising money to buy a new passenger van to enable teens to participate in their events. All proceeds of FounderORL go toward this campaign.
